In which I am freaked out by an armpit

I'm mostly quite a strong-stomached person but there are a couple of things that freak me out.

This is one:

The offending bit is three seconds in. The people armpit. It makes me feel sick.

Even the Duracell bunnies freak me out to in this ad and I know we're heading for the battery advertising time of year so I'm bracing myself for a new bunny onslaught.

Is it just me? I think it's the mass of waving pink things. Ugh.

  1. Ogod-ogod-ogod I know just what you mean - how repellent! My mother couldn't look at pictures of dried cracked mud without feeling ill, and I'm not good with seething masses of maggots, but these two ads are in the same league. Thanks for the warning; I shall be able to look away in time now!

  2. If you think this is bad, you should read a post on the Bipolar Diva's blog. One daughter was in hospital. Said daughter asked her sister to shave her armpits while she was lying in bed.

Now THAT would be a true act of love.

  3. What the heck is that first picture??? An ad for deodorent? Ugh, I'm with you on this. Gross. The only thing that must have made it palatable for the guy filming the shot is that the woman had no top on.

  4. One thing worse than armpits - sweaty feet.....I kiss my son's (after his bath I might add) and tell him at the same time that this is a true act of love!

  5. Gross.

I never could stomach all those ads for cold/cough/flu products and their euphemisms for 'clearing tubes' and mucus. Yuck.

  6. I couldn't believe it, the first time I saw the 'armpit' advert. Not just kissing an armpit, but an armpit that had supposedly been covered in deodorant. What next, cutting out the middleman and licking the bottle? Gross!
