The washing is on the line and there's a stuffed chicken roasting in the oven. |
The prompt for this week's
The Gallery is 'My Weekend'. On Saturday it rained, I ran, I washed everything and I watched Andy Murray win his match at Wimbledon. On Sunday the sun shone, we swam, ate ice cream for lunch on the beach and everything I had washed flew on the line until it was dry.
Oh I can tell you live in a magical place. There's something really captivating about this photo, oh and about washing on the line. My mum always used to put us under it as babies to help us sleep.
ReplyDeleteSuch vivid colours, a lovely photograph. Speaks of long lazy, hazy summer days of childhood.
ReplyDeleteThere is something so satisfying about seeing a load of clothes fluttering on the washing line isn't there :)
ReplyDeleteI love to see washing in the breeze on a sunny day.
ReplyDeleteIt is a really comforting reminder of our Mothers isn't it.
My Mum was always proud of her clean washing.

ReplyDeleteSounds like your're having a very busy, but wonderful time where you live, it's great being in the country, away from all the traffic and hussle bussle, I am in The vale of Glamorgan, right on the edge of the Bristol Channel. Wales is such a wonderful country. Love reading all your blogs, you have a way with words that is delightful.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work. Eileen x
